Grantchester Charity 3K presentation to EACH

The Grantchester Charity Runs 3K designated charity this year was EACH, the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. In Cambridge, EACH have been going for 26 years in the old Rectory in Milton. Wiz and I were invited along this afternoon to hand over the check for the £600 that the Grantchester Charity Runs 3K raised this year for EACH.

We were welcomed by EACH Community Fundraiser, Sophie Baker along with her new colleague Kevin who were kind enough to give us a tour of the Hospice. To be honest, I was a little intimidated by the prospect but it was quite a revelation. A tremendous amount of care and effort has been put into to create a genuinely family and sibling focused environment. The old Rectory has been transformed into a series of spaces of light and dare I say it, fun, which must go a long way to help families over what must be the darkest of times. The work of EACH extends beyond the actual facility and includes working in the local community as well as across their part of East Anglia.
