Cheque Presentation!

A couple of the Grantchester Charity Runs organisers met with Andrea from Maggie’s and Flossie from ACT last week to do the thing with the giant reusable cheques! (The money had been transferred by more traditional means last year). The driver of the ambulance in the background kindly offered to provide some illumination which we gratefully accepted. So rest assured we were not blocking Addenbrooke’s amazing emergency responders!

It seems an age ago but we were just delighted to be able to hold the 2021 GCR last September let alone attract sufficient participation to make a meaningful donation to our two great charities. Hopefully this year will be easier for everyone but we will limit registration so we can maintain the more intimate nature of our event.

The big news for 2022 is that Bidwells is joining us as the Platinum Sponsor! Bidwells is a familiar name to Cambridge residents so it’s great to have them on board. David Bentley, Head of Residential and New Homes notes

The 10k & 3k will take place over the same mixed terrain courses as last year. The Coach Hose Health Clinic, Carlos Guerdes and the ice cream van will all be making a welcome return as will our post race refreshments thanks to the great folks at the Lunchtime Company the The Orchard Tea Room
Registration for the 2022 event is now open (link at the top of the home page at gratchester10k.org) and we look forward to seeing old friends and new on Sunday, September 25th in Grantchester.
