Grantchester Charity Runs: Sunday Sept 22nd, 2024

2024 GCR Registration is OPEN!

The 10k and 3k both run through attractive farmland adjacent to Grantchester, just outside Cambridge. Importantly, there are no awkward road crossings in fact there are no road crossings at all! The courses are mixed terrain and predominantly flat.

Chip Timing for all, yes ALL, participants.

Parking – Available a short walk from the Start area. There is plenty of bike parking around the registration area.

Every runner who completes the course will receive a commemorative medal and there will be trophies for the winners of both runs. The 10k Team competition will return.

Coach House Health Care, a local Trumpington clinic will be offering post run treatments in Sports Massage, Physiotherapy and Osteopathy as well as advice, both for these therapies and also for running related Podiatry issues.

The Runs and Parking are located on the Trumpington side of Grantchester (see map in sidebar). After you pass the Orchard Tea Garden, watch out for the flags and signs on your right when heading from Grantchester to Trumpington

  • Warm-up with Lucy Carlton from Addenbrooke’s Frank Lee Centre: 10:15am
  • 10k Start: 10:30am
  • 3k Start: 10:35am
  • post Race: Refreshments

  • Medals for all 10k & 3k finishers
  • Trophy Presentation (3k, 10k (Women’s and Men’s) and Team): 11:45am
  • Chip timing results will be available soon after the race
